Hello, we are Tash and Ella. We will be caring for your little ones in the Badgers room
𦔠Welcome to the Badgers Room
In our Badgers Room, children are encouraged to explore, discover, and lead their own learning through play. We provide a stimulating environment with both indoor and outdoor continuous provision available throughout the day. This means children always have access to a wide range of resources that spark their imagination, promote independence, and support child-led learning.
Our garden space is just as important as the indoor environment, giving children the freedom to move, explore nature, and take their learning outside. We also ensure there is plenty of choice available, so each child can follow their interests and develop at their own pace.
š Curriculum in Badgers
While play forms the foundation of our approach, we also include a balance of thoughtfully planned activities to guide and support your childās development.
š¾ Learning in the Badgers Room
In the Badgers Room, we follow a balance of structured activities and child-led learning through In the Moment Planning. This approach allows us to respond to childrenās interests as they happen, supporting their development in real-time and making learning meaningful and engaging.
Through both play and spontaneous learning opportunities, children in Badgers:
Practise early number recognition (0ā10)in fun and interactive ways
Explore and identify 2D shapes in their play and everyday environment
Build early language skills through songs, stories, and rich communication with adults and peers
Develop a love for reading in our cosy book area, filled with age-appropriate and engaging books
Enjoy free-flow access to outdoor play, which supports both their physical development and social confidence.
By combining structured teaching moments with child-led exploration, we ensure every child is supported in a way that suits their individual learning journey.
Our aim is to create a well-rounded learning experience that supports every childās unique journey ā helping them build the confidence, skills, and curiosity they need for the next stage of their learning.
