Bambi’s Childcare is proudly owned and managed by two friends, Carla Roberts and Lucy Herbert.

We’ve known each other for over 20 years, growing up in the same town and attending the same schools. Since becoming close friends in 2011, we’ve shared a passion for childcare and a vision for creating something truly special.

Both of us have worked in childcare since leaving school, gaining experience across a wide range of settings. In 2011, we finally worked together for the first time and quickly realised that our values and dedication to children were perfectly aligned. That’s when the idea for Bambi’s Childcare was born.

Over the following year, we poured our hearts into planning, finding the perfect premises, and preparing to launch. During this time Carla was completing her Level 4 in Early Years, which gave us valuable insight into the business side of running a setting. From the very beginning, our shared vision was clear: we wanted to create a small, homely environment with a true home-from-home feel, where children would feel safe, valued, and loved.

On October 1st, 2012, Bambi’s Childcare officially opened its doors. Since then, we’ve welcomed many wonderful families and staff, growing into what we now call our Bambi family. We’ve proudly cared for and nurtured seven preschool cohorts, preparing each child for the exciting transition to school, and we look forward to supporting many more in the years to come.

At Bambi’s, we pride ourselves on the love and care we give to every child and family. We always strive to go the extra mile, offering support that extends beyond childcare.
