Pre school and Rising 3's

Pre school is where bambis children spend the last year getting ready for school :) We have made their room homely with a play kitchen and a home cornerwhich the children really enjoy.

The children also have a choice of lots of different toys through out the day with lots of free play.

In preschool we do structured learning which involves letters, numbers and shapes but we make these activities fun. :)

The children enjoy the jolly phonics CD, they sing along and know all the actions.

We are also bringing makaton into our day which the children also find fun and is a great way of learning.

Communication and language devlopment involves giving children opportunities to experience a rich language environment to develop their confidence and skills in expressing themselves and to speak and listen in a range of situations. in preschool we have a variety of roleplay and small world toys to encourage children to find their voice, and we offer a range of books for them to widen their imagination. Staff will read regulary to your children and encourage them to be involved with the telling of a story.

Bambis encourages mathematics through out the age ranges through colours shapes and numbers but in preschool it involves providing children with opportunities to develop and improve their skills in counting, understanding and using numbers ,calculating simple addition and subtracting problems and to describe shape space and measure.

We at bambis provide many resources to support this, we have compare bears, giant dice, number lines, puzzels, number fun in the garden and we sing lots of number songs. Staff will encourage children to count where possible.
